HSY reveal what role he plays in Heeramandi
Netflix’s latest series, “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” is receiving praise for its sheer excellence as a beautiful piece of art. Sanjay Leela Bhansali crafted a brilliant storyline, delivered top-notch performances, and created extravagant sets. The series premiered on Netflix on May 1, 2024, featuring a stellar cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Richa Chadha, Fardeen Khan, Sharmin Segal, Shekhar Suman, and others.
Pakistani artists, actors, and other celebrities are also showing keen interest in Heeramandi because of its historical connection to Lahore, Pakistan. The recent Pakistani celebrity who discussed Heeramandi is HSY, a popular designer and a brilliant actor as well.
In a show hosted by Deepak Parwani, HSY revealed the characters he would have loved to portray in Heeramandi.
Talking about it, HSY said, “It is a good question because the show has a lot of complexities and it is a very talked-about series currently, many are relating to it, many are not relating to it, many are thinking it is their place so they are talking about it critically. I would have played the character of Tajdaar’s father in the show because that character has many layers to it. He has fewer scenes but his betrayal has left a mark that one can’t forget about it. The other role I would have played would have been the Nawab who leaves Bebo Jan and goes to another one. His character also had twists, the character goes to another person and shows the same love and eventually abandoning that love too because of his family values, it would have been amazing as well. People are saying that the series has many complexities but I think it is well narrated”.
