Sajal Aly is set to make a major return to the screen with her role in the upcoming Tollywood film, Fauji. Following her last notable appearance in the 2017 Bollywood film Mom alongside the late Sridevi, Aly is poised to star opposite Tollywood superstar Prabhas.

The period drama, directed by Hanu Raghavpudi, is scheduled to begin filming on August 24 in Hyderabad. Although an official confirmation of Aly’s involvement has not yet been made, media reports suggest that she will play a significant role in the film. There were also speculations about other actresses, such as Mrunal Thakur, being considered for the part.

The film will mark the Tollywood debut of Iman Esmail, a renowned dancer and choreographer from Delhi, adding to the project’s excitement. Fauji is set in the pre-independence era and promises to be an action-packed drama with elements of romance.

This development comes amid recent rumors about Fawad Khan potentially returning to Bollywood, reflecting a trend of cross-border collaborations in the South Asian entertainment industry. Prabhas, who recently enjoyed success with Kalki 2898 AD, will be exploring new genres with this film.
