Sami Khan talks about the impact of portraying bad boys as heroes
Sami Khan is a versatile actor who has worked in the industry for over two decades. He has found success in both films and television. Recently, he delivered back-to-back hits with “Faraar” and “Duniyapur”. In an interview with “Nukta Life”, he shared his opinions on current trends in dramas, what needs to change, and what motivates him to keep going.
Recently, dramas have increasingly glamorized bad boys, with characters like Shuja Asad in “Khaie” and Nameer Khan in “Qarz e Jaan” gaining attention. The public loved the flawed characters played by these actors and sympathized with them more than the real victims in their respective dramas.
Sami Khan spoke about this trend and shared a rational perspective on what’s happening. He referenced his drama “Inkaar”, explaining that nowadays, people don’t seek to win love; they prefer to snatch it. He highlighted how negative characters have been glamorized and emphasized that there isn’t always logic behind a bad person. A person can simply be criminal by nature, and we should learn from such characters what we should avoid doing in life.
