Malala's Cowgirl Cameo Leaves Fans Surprised

Pakistani Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai has caused a stir on the internet with her surprise cowgirl cameo in Season 2 of "We Are Lady Parts," the British comedy that revolves around the experiences of the all-female Muslim punk band Lady Parts.

In episode 2, Malala makes a guest appearance during a song inspired by her life. She is depicted sitting atop a horse, dressed in striking cowgirl attire.

Malala said in an interview, “When I saw the set on the day of filming, it was completely beyond my wildest imagination. And the funny thing was, I didn’t have lines, so it made things a lot easier.”

She added, “I would feel honoured to be part of that cowgirl group, joining Beyoncé and Bella Hadid [laughs].”

“It made me feel really proud. I hope that we can keep inspiring girls and young women to believe in themselves and be change makers.”

The show "We Are Lady Parts" is created by Nida Manzoor, who drew from her own experiences in London's arts scene. It stars Anjana Vasan as Amina, the band's guitarist and a PhD student, and Sarah Kameela Impey as Saira, the energetic lead singer.

Other cast members include Juliette Motamed, Faith Omole, Lucie Shorthouse, Aiysha Hart, Zaqi Ismail, and Shobu Kapoor.
