Javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem achieved a milestone
Pakistani javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem on Saturday has been qualified for the Tokyo Olympics following a throw of 86.29m at the ongoing 2019 South Asian Games (SAG) In Kathmandu, Nepal.
According to the details, Arshad Nadeem won gold at the ongoing 2019 South Asian Games.
The feat also helped him bag a spot for Pakistan in 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
He becomes the first Pakistani to qualify directly to the games.
Nadeem scored a throw of 86.48 metres to win the coveted gold medal for Pakistan.

With the throw, he also improved Pakistan’s national record in javelin throw event.
The javelin-thrower said that he was delighted to achieve the milestone.
“It is a great honour to qualify for the Olympics, for me and also for Pakistan,” said Nadeem.
He also said, “I’m thankful to Athletics Federation of Pakistan who provided and arranged training for me.”
