Charles Lecrec of Monaco took a remarkable victory in Virtual Grand Prix, as the Ferrari driver beat all the F1 Rivals to win the race.

In a 19 car field that included;

Alex Albon, Jenson Button and cricketer Ben Stokes, Charles Leclerc ( a two-time F1 race-winner) outclassed them all as he gleamed in his online debut by converting his pole start into a comfortable victory around Melbourne’s Albert Park circuit.

England cricketer Ben Stokes finished last in his first F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix.

BBC Sports Personality of the Year and World Cup winner Stokes qualified 16th in the race.

Charles Leclerc – playing from home in Monaco – admitted  of practising on racing simulation game for five hours a day for the past week, after deciding to take part.

Although Renault’s Christian Lundgaard – an F3 driver – Leclerc’s closest challenger, George Russell third for Williams, Alfa Romeo’s Antonio Giovinazzi was fifth, Alex Albon eighth in the Red Bull, and Nicholas Latifi rounded off the top-10
