Umar Akmal’s appeal will be heard on June 11 by former Supreme Court (SC) judge Justice Faqir Muhammad Khokhar.

The case will be heard against a three-year ban imposed on Umar Akmal for failing to report to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) about his two meetings with match-fixers before the start of the 5th Pakistan Super League (PSL) last February.

The PCB announced that notices for the hearing had been issued both to the PCB and the batsman.

According to the PCB anti-corruption unit rules, every cricketer is bound to immediately report to the Board if any suspect/corrupt person makes any contact with the cricketer, offering money for corrupt practices like spot-fixing.
