Former cricketer Ramiz Raja has suggested Sarfaraz Ahmed to take retirement from the Test cricket after being the captain for four years across three formats.

While talking on his YouTube channel, the cricket commentator highlighted that Sarfaraz should have taken retirement gracefully after he was removed as a captain of the team.

“Sarfaraz should have taken retirement from test cricket after captaincy. He should have focused more on white-ball cricket in which he has the potential to do well,” said Ramiz.

He further added,

“For me, you better take retirement gracefully after captaincy. Because from captaining a side to sitting on the bench is not an easy task for a player, especially for a player like Sarfaraz who has represented Pakistan in all three formats.”

It is pertinent to mention here that cricketer Sarfaraz Ahmed was removed as a team captain and was dropped from the national team in 2019 due to his poor performance.

Ahmed was selected as a second-choice of the wicket-keeper for the ongoing England test series.
