As the entire nation celebrates independence day of Pakistan, various names from the sports fraternity have extended their wishes on account of 14th August.

Cricketer Ahmad Shahzad wrote:

14th August marks a special day in the calendar for any Pakistani.  Happy independence day to all Pakistanis around the World.

Imad Wasim while wishing on Pakistan’s independence day wrote on his twitter handle:

Happy independence day to all my fellow Pakistanis around the World enjoy the day.

Taking to Twitter, Pakistan’s legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram said Pakistan is our beloved country which has given us everything so we must return that everything right from our heart and contribute to its rise, progress and stability.

“A famous quote goes, “He who loves not his country can love nothing in his life,” and that is so true. Pakistan, our beloved country, had given us everything so we must return that everything, right from our heart and contribute to its rise, progress and stability,” wrote Akram.

Former all-rounder, Shahid Khan Afridi paid tribute to the courageous heroes of Pakistan while wishing country a happy Independency Day.

“I’d like to wish everyone a Happy Independence Day. Let’s salute our courageous heroes who safeguarded the future of our nation, promoting humanity, equality and respect for all! Pakistan Zindabad!,”

14th August marks the historic day as the nation celebrates the independence of the homeland with great zeal and fervor.

August 14 has been declared as a public holiday across the country.

The country is also observing it as the “Kashmir Solidarity Day” in light of India’s illegal attempt at the annexation of the occupied territory.
