Mohammad Amir, Pakistan’s left-arm pacer, confirmed on Thursday that he has taken an indefinite break from international cricket.

The left-handed, who stepped during the T20I game against England in June 2009, actively participated in 147 international matches, taking 259 wickets.

He was in serving in the team during the time Pakistan successfully won the 2009 World T201. But unfortunately, his career took a turn and he was prohibited to play for the Pakistan cricket team for the consecutive five years. This happened because of his role in the 2010 spot-fixing scandal during the 2010 tour of England.
