South African cricketer Dale Steyn has sparked fury among Indian cricket lovers after he termed Pakistan Super League (PSL) and other leagues ‘More Rewarding’.

In a recent interview, Dale Steyn detailed why he chose to skip this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL), saying playing in other T20 leagues was “more rewarding as a player.”

He further added that “earning money” is so much emphasized sometimes, somewhere down the line, cricket gets forgotten”.

“When you come to like a PSL or the Sri Lankan Premier League, for that matter, there is an importance on the cricket,” he added.

Steyn went on to add, “When you go to IPL, there are such big squads and there are so many big names and there’s so much emphasis on the amount of money that the players earn that sometimes, somewhere along the line the cricket gets forgotten.”
