Cameron Norrie of the United Kingdom advanced to the quarter-finals of this year’s Barcelona Open after defeating Marton Fucsovics in a nail-biting match.
Cameron, who is 26 years old, had to fight hard since his opponent was simply reluctant to give up in order to win the difficult match by 7-5 6-7 (9-11) 6-4, and he had to make numerous comebacks to win the game.
He was on the verge of losing a set at one point, and he had to break twice to win the first set 7-5.
Norrie’s remarkable and consistent success has also seen him reach the last eight stages of the Indian Wells tournament in March, as well as two ATP finals in Mexico and the United States in February, according to BBC Sport.
Norrie is presently rated 10th in the world and has won three championships in his career.
