Sarfaraz Ahmed set to participate in KPL 2: Reports
KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) granted former Pakistani captain Sarfaraz Ahmed permission to take part in the second season of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL).
Sarfaraz, a player under central contract with the PCB, will reportedly participate in KPL 2 with special authorization.
Kotli Lions selected the wicket-keeper batter during the players’ draught in Islamabad. He was recruited for the platinum group.
In the “D” category of the red-ball format contracts, Sarfaraz has a central contract. Previously, PCB only let seven of its centrally contracted players to be selected in KPL 2 draughts.
Fawad Alam (Red Ball Category B), Azhar Ali (Red Ball Category A), Abid Ali (Red Ball Category D), Nauman Ali (Red Ball Category C), Haseebullah, Mohammad Hurraira, and Ali Usman were among the players that were allowed to play (all three Emerging Category).
