Spain made a triumphant beginning to their Women’s European Championship crusade after they dug out from a deficit to beat Finland 4-1 in Milton Keynes on Friday.

Linda Sallstrom gave Finland an unexpected lead in the main moment however Spain returned with headers from chief Irene Paredes, midfielder Aitana Bonmati and forward Lucia Garcia. They adjusted the scoring with a punishment from Mariona Caldentey.
