Harry Brook, England’s rising star, made an immediate impact in Test cricket and has been named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for December 2022.

Harry Brook, who was nominated alongside Babar Azam and Travis Head, won the award after an incredible tour of Pakistan in December.

The 23-year-old, who finished the series with the most runs scored (468 in three games), was instrumental in England’s 3-0 rout of Pakistan. In Jonny Bairstow’s absence, Brook proved to be the ideal replacement for the “BazBall” strategy and slid into the middle of the order with ease. Brook’s runs were scored at a remarkable strike rate of 93.41.

The young player, who was taking part in just his second Test, produced scores of 153 and 87 in Rawalpindi’s first game of the series. His first-inning century came off just 116 balls as he dismantled Pakistan’s bowling lineup to establish the tone for the remainder of the series.

As England dominated in their first Test match on Pakistani soil in 17 years, he went on to score 100 points in each of the final two matches.

For his amazing bat skills, Brook was named Player of the Series. He now caps off the year with yet another achievement as ICC Player of the Month for December 2022.
