Ramiz Raja expressed his disappointment about dissolution PJL
Ramiz Raja, a former chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has spoken out about the dissolution of the PJL on Saturday.
In a news release issued Friday night, the PCB Management Committee, led by Najam Sethi, announced their decision.
Raja expressed his disappointment with “that PJL has sunk to vendetta politics” on Twitter.
“All kids need is a little help, a little hope and somebody who believes in them.” – Magic Johnson. It is so sad that PJL has fallen to vendetta politics & rolled back even though 7 of the kids made it to PSL 8 emerging category & 3 are part of Pak vs NZ as reserves.

The PCB Management Committee has decided to reinstate home-and-away junior series to provide a pathway for high-performing teens and guarantee the country continues to create excellent cricketers across all age gaps.
It was also decided to talk to the PSL teams about adding a player who is under 19 to their rosters as part of the league’s Emerging Categories.
It’s worth noting that the first PJL season took place in 2022, with the Bahawalpur Royals ultimately prevailing over the Gwadar Sharks in the championship game.
While serving as a mentor for the Mardan Warriors, former Pakistan captain and current head of the interim selection committee Shahid Afridi has nothing but praise for the PJL.
The PCB is to be commended for coming up with such an original idea. The inaugural season’s accomplishments are encouraging for the tournament’s future. The cricketing community in Pakistan quickly learned the names of players like Arafat Minhas, Basit Ali, Shamyl Hussain, Tayyab Arif, Aimal Khan, Uzair Mumtaz, Abidullah, Arham Nawab, etc. Afridi predicted in a post for PCB in October 2022 that the group will continue to make rapid strides because “the experience with the monetary gains that they have gained will just make them hungrier for more.”
The PJL is an investment in our nation’s bright young minds; it’s a bold idea that will pay off in the long run. “I’m looking forward to participating in future PJL events, and I’ll continue to be available to help Pakistan cricket in any form,” he added.
