Kylian Mbappé scored his 201st goal for Paris Saint-Germain in a 4-2 Ligue 1 victory over Nantes. The 24-year-old forward tied Edinson Cavani with two goals against Marseille last weekend.

He had to wait until the dying seconds of this game to have his moment, turning deftly and finishing in the bottom corner to give PSG an extra boost and extend their lead at the top to 11 points.

PSG appeared to be in complete control when Jaouen Hadjam put through his own net shortly after Lionel Messi opened the scoring in the 12th minute, but Nantes fought back to equalise through Ludovic Blas and Ignatius Ganago.

It took PSG until the hour mark to retake the lead; Mbappé set up Danilo Pereira before delivering the killer blow himself.

The chances Lens had of making the Champions League were further damaged when they were held to a 1-1 home draw by neighbouring Lille. With 51 points from 26 games, Lens is in third place, but they have only won one of their last seven league games.

With the help of an outstanding Matthijs de Ligt performance, Bayern Munich snatched a 2-1 victory at VfB Stuttgart, returning to the top of the Bundesliga. The Dutch defender denied Stuttgart the lead two minutes earlier by clearing the ball off the goal line before drilling in their first goal in the 39th minute.

Bayern, which won the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 match 1-0, will play Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday. Bayern has 49 points, one more than Borussia Dortmund, which defeated RB Leipzig 2-1 on Friday. After their 0-0 home draw with Cologne, Union Berlin is in third place with 44 points.
