Another senior player leaves Karachi Kings ahead of PSL 9

• Mohammad Amir has left the Karachi Kings and joined the Quetta Gladiators.
• Shan Masood may be traded by the Karachi Kings to the Multan Sultans.
• Tayyab Tahir is rumored to be traded to the Multan Sultans.

Before the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine draft, Karachi Kings would lose their second senior player, captain Imad Wasim.

According to the local media, Mohammad Amir has made the decision to leave the Kings and has confirmed his transfer to the Quetta Gladiators.

In the meantime, rumors also state that Shan Masood, a batter, may be traded by the Karachi Kings to the Multan Sultans.

There are good reasons to believe Masood will be named the Kings’ captain for PSL 9. As part of the team’s plan to strengthen its roster, Tayyab Tahir is rumored to be traded to the Multan Sultans.

Previously, one of the largest transactions in PSL history took place when Hasan Ali joined the 2020 PSL winners and Kings captain Imad Wasim joined Islamabad United.

“Hasan Ali (Diamond category) moves to Kings. By virtue of this player trade, Kings have received Islamabad United’s first-round silver pick in exchange for their second-round silver pick,” PCB said in a press release.

Wasim finished first in the PSL 8 competition with 404 runs and nine wickets in ten games.

It should be mentioned that the pick order for the PSL 9 Player Draft has already been made public by the PCB.

The first pick will go to the Quetta Gladiators, followed by the two-time champion Islamabad United and the Kings in order of preference.

Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans, the runners-up from the previous season, will make the fourth and fifth picks, respectively, while Lahore Qalandars, the victors of the previous two events, will make the sixth pick to conclude the first round.
