- Zaka Ashraf was furious over poor planning for the 2024 draft.
- Director Sheikh blamed was for inadequate arrangements and a lack of meals.
- A heated debate took place between Ashraf and Sheikh.
The management committee chairman, Zaka Ashraf, was particularly irritated by the inadequate arrangements made for the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Player Draft 2024, which took place on December 13 at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. Ashraf voiced his displeasure and directed his annoyance at Director Sohaib Sheikh for the event’s poor planning.
The meeting was charged with tension as the chairman questioned why there were no appropriate plans in place despite large cash outlays. The lack of sufficient meals for the participants was one of the main issues, which increased their discontent. Ashraf and Sheikh’s exchange became more intense, leading to a heated debate during the meeting.
Sohaib Sheikh left the conference, apparently dissatisfied with the harsh tone, given the stressful situation. But the next day, Sheikh took the effort to repent for his actions and returned to his job after realizing the importance of his position and the necessity for closure.
