The Pakistani cricketers are currently participating in a fitness camp at the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT), where they are undergoing a variety of training routines and gym workouts. The camp, which is attended by 29 players, began on March 26 and is scheduled to end on April 8. The main objective of this camp is to prepare the national cricket team for the upcoming bilateral series and the ICC T20 World Cup.

As the camp continues, the intensity of the training regimen has been increasing. The week began with a two-kilometer run, and the trainers ramped up the challenge by arranging an eight-kilometer run for the players on Thursday. Despite observing the Ramadan fast, the players participate in some light training at 4 pm, followed by a more intense session after Iftar.

Babar Azam, who had been missing, joined the camp immediately after the Thursday evening training session upon his arrival at the Kakul Academy. Likewise, Naseem Shah and Iftikhar Ahmed, who had been on an Umrah pilgrimage with Babar, have also returned to their training.

However, due to injury concerns, not all players have been able to participate fully. Imad Wasim, who was absent from Wednesday’s training, also opted out of Thursday’s run due to potential injury risks. He, along with Fakhar Zaman and Haris Rauf, who are recovering from injuries, have been assigned to the rehabilitation group.

In the midst of training sessions, players also managed to find time for some leisure activities, such as playing badminton. Teams were formed for some friendly competition, with Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Haris teaming up against Naseem Shah and Abbas Afridi.
