The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is preparing to induct former all-rounder Abdul Razzaq into its selection committee.
Insiders within the PCB have hinted that a formal announcement about Razzaq’s appointment is on the horizon, signaling a significant enhancement to the cricket board’s leadership structure.
Razzaq, who is celebrated for his versatile all-rounder contributions to Pakistan cricket, was reportedly invited by Chief Selector Wahab Riaz to assume a role within the board. After a meeting with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, Razzaq has consented to undertake duties within the committee.
The dialogue between Razzaq and the PCB’s top brass, which included a productive meeting with Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer, underscored the extensive nature of Razzaq’s forthcoming role.
In addition to selection responsibilities, Razzaq is anticipated to play a crucial role in mentoring and improving the performance of the country’s budding cricket players.
