Travis Head made a mark in the annals of the Indian Premier League (IPL) by scoring 102 runs off 41 balls in a match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday.

Head, who has amassed 235 runs in IPL 2024 with an impressive strike rate of 200, took the RCB bowlers to task right from the outset of his innings.

He quickly established a 100-run partnership with his opening partner Abhishek Sharma, giving his team the upper hand. Even after Sharma’s exit, the onslaught continued as he was joined by Heinrich Klaasen, another hard-hitting batsman known for his effortless sixes.

Head reached his century in just 39 balls, making it the fourth-fastest century in IPL history. He now trails only Chris Gayle, Yusuf Pathan, and David Miller in this regard.
