The complexities surrounding hosting the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan appear to be resolved.
According to a report by Cricinfo, a key meeting took place on the sidelines of the ICC Board meeting between PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and ICC Chairman Jay Shah.
As per the report, India has agreed to Pakistan’s condition of not playing in Pakistan for the next three years. This agreement paves the way for the tournament to proceed under a hybrid model.
The report claims that Pakistan and the ICC have finalized arrangements. Under this agreement, India will play its matches in Dubai, while the rest of the tournament will be hosted in Pakistan.
Furthermore, it has been confirmed that for the next three years, Pakistan and India will not play in each other’s home countries.
