Toss delayed due to fog in first test between Pakistan and West Indies
The first Test of the two-match series between Pakistan and the West Indies was delayed on Friday due to dense fog in Multan. The toss, initially scheduled for the morning, could not take place as visibility remained low.
The umpires planned an inspection at 9:30 a.m. (PST), but no further updates have been provided regarding the match’s start.
Pakistan and West Indies have a rich Test history, having played 54 matches. Pakistan leads with 21 wins, while the West Indies have claimed 18 victories. Fifteen matches ended in draws. Their last series in 2021 in the Caribbean concluded in a 1-1 draw.
Both teams enter the series with recent disappointments. Pakistan is coming off a 2-0 series defeat in South Africa, while the West Indies managed a 1-1 draw in Bangladesh.
