LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Test team captain Shan Masood as the Director of International Cricket Operations. Alongside this key role, he will also serve as the Consultant for International Cricket and Players’ Affairs, the board announced on Monday.
According to a PCB statement, the 36-year-old will utilize his extensive international experience to enhance the board’s policy-making process and strengthen player relations.
Shan Masood has represented Pakistan in 44 Test matches, 9 One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and 19 T20 Internationals, scoring a total of 3,108 runs, including six Test centuries.
As captain, Shan Masood has led Pakistan in 14 Test matches, guiding the team to a 2-1 series victory over England last year — Pakistan’s first home Test series win against England since 2005.
PCB officials said Shan’s appointment reflects the board’s vision to modernize cricket operations and foster stronger communication between players and management.
