In a dazzling display of resilience and attacking firepower, Bayern Munich turned the Bundesliga battlefield on its head, producing a jaw-dropping comeback that left RB Leipzig stunned.
After falling behind early, the Bavarians erupted in the second half, netting five unanswered goals to secure a commanding 5-1 victory and maintain their 11-point lead atop the league. Jamal Musiala even made a brief return from his long-term injury, adding another spark to Bayern’s relentless assault.
Leipzig, who opened the scoring through Antonio Nusa in the 20th minute, looked set to control the match. But Bayern responded five minutes into the second half when Serge Gnabry marked his 100th goal for the club.
Harry Kane, the Bundesliga’s top scorer, then struck to put the visitors ahead, with Manuel Neuer making a crucial save against Yan Diomande in the 72nd minute to preserve the lead.
The Bavarians weren’t finished. Jonathan Tah’s 82nd-minute header, Aleksandar Pavlovic’s strike in the 85th, and Michael Olise’s goal in the 88th capped a stunning turnaround, leaving Leipzig reeling and Bayern’s unbeaten streak intact as they surged to 50 points. Borussia Dortmund remain second with 39 points after a late win over St. Pauli, while Leipzig slipped to fourth.
