PSL 9: Karachi weather update ahead of Quetta Gladiators vs Lahore Qalandars clash

The Quetta Gladiators are set to compete against the Lahore Qalandars in the 28th match of the ongoing ninth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi this Sunday.

Karachi experienced heavy rainfall in the first week of March, and the sky is once again overcast as Quetta gears up to face Lahore.

According to AccuWeather, the day will be clear with no rain forecasted, but the sun will be obscured by clouds.

The average temperature during the game is expected to be around 19°C, with wind speeds of about 11km/h.

It’s worth noting that Quetta suffered a 76-run defeat at the hands of Peshawar Zalmi in their last match in Rawalpindi, which significantly impacted their net run rate (NRR).

Despite this setback, the Gladiators can secure a spot in the PSL 9 playoffs by winning just one of their two remaining matches against the Qalandars and Multan Sultans.

The competition for the last two playoff spots is primarily between Islamabad and Quetta, as a single win would solidify their positions. However, the Karachi Kings are still in the running.

The Kings have accumulated eight points from nine matches. With one match left, Shan Masood’s team needs to win their final game and hope for losses from Islamabad and Quetta in their upcoming matches.
