The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary, Jay Shah, has predicted the semi-finalist teams for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, which will be co-hosted by the United States and the West Indies.
Shah shared his views on which teams are likely to be strong contenders for the tournament. He believes India, Australia, New Zealand, and the West Indies, the co-hosts, have strong T20 squads and are expected to reach the semi-finals.
“India, Australia, New Zealand and the hosts, West Indies, because they are good in T20,” Shah was quoted as saying by the Times of India.
The tournament will begin on June 1, with co-hosts USA facing neighbors Canada.

Group A: India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, United States
Group B: England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, Oman
Group C: New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea
