Karachi Kings to Keep Five Players for PSL 9 Draft: Report

The Karachi Kings have announced their retentions for the upcoming ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The team has retained five players, including James Vince, Hasan Ali, Shoaib Malik, Mir Hamza, and Tabraiz Shamsi.

The Kings have also traded their last edition’s skipper Imad Wasim to Islamabad United in exchange for Hasan Ali.

A record-breaking 254 foreign players have registered for the upcoming PSL season nine. The PSL draft will take place at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.

PSL 9 is tentatively scheduled from 8 February to 24 March 2024.

PSL 9 Matches May Be Held in UAE or South Africa

Due to elections in Pakistan, some of the matches for PSL 9 may be held in UAE or South Africa. However, most of the franchises are insisting that the entire event should take place in Pakistan.
