In the third ODI, Pakistan completed a 3–0 whitewash against Sri Lanka, winning the three-match series with a clean sweep.
In the final match of the series, Pakistan secured their third consecutive win after setting a target of 212 runs.
Sri Lanka, batting first after losing the toss, were bowled out for 211 runs against Pakistan’s strong bowling attack. Sudheera scored 48, Kusal Mendis made 34, and Poon contributed 32, but none of the batters managed to play a long innings.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Wasim took three wickets, while Faisal Akram and Haris Rauf claimed two wickets each.
Pakistan began their chase of 212 runs but lost Haseeb Ullah Khan for zero early in the innings. After that, Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam batted responsibly and took the score to 82.
Fakhar Zaman smashed 55 runs off 45 balls, reaching his half-century in just 37 deliveries. Babar Azam scored 34 before Pakistan lost their fourth wicket at 115.
Pakistan’s victory was then strengthened by Mohammad Rizwan and Hussain Talat, who built a 100-run partnership and took the team close to the finish line. Rizwan scored an important 62, while Hussain Talat remained unbeaten on 42.
For Sri Lanka, Jeffrey took three wickets, but the bowling attack couldn’t stop Pakistan’s batting lineup.
