Daniil Medvedev lost his second consecutive grass-court final to Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz on Sunday. The Pole defeated the Russian 6-1, 6-4. During the final, the world no. 1 and his coach got angry. Medvedev yelled at Cervara, who then left the court. Tennis TV posted the video on Instagram.

“Medvedev’s coach has seen enough,” Tennis TV captioned the video.

After the match, Medvedev apologized to the spectators for “not making this match longer and more entertaining” and said he had been “not easy to be with on the court” this week.

Even though he has won seven of his last nine matches on grass this season, the Russian has not won a trophy after losing two consecutive finals.

As a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the organizers of Wimbledon have prohibited Russian and Belarusian players from competing this year.

Now, Medvedev will be seen competing in the Mallorca Open, which begins on June 22.
