Musonda scored the decisive goal to give Power Dynamos a 1-0 victory, securing all three points for his team.
However, instead of receiving the customary trophy, shield or bottle of champagne often associated with player-of-the-match awards, Musonda was presented with five crates of eggs.
The unusual prize quickly attracted attention from fans and social media users, many of whom expressed surprise at the award.
According to reports, the footballer received approximately five crates of eggs as recognition for his performance, though organizers have not publicly explained the reason behind the unconventional reward.
While player-of-the-match awards typically include cash bonuses, trophies or sponsored products, the egg presentation has become a talking point among football supporters and added a memorable twist to an otherwise routine league fixture.
