Southern Philippines jolted by 5.7 magnitude offshore quake

MANILA: An offshore earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 rocked Davao Oriental province in the southern Philippines on Thursday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.   The magnitude was first reported as 6.2 before being revised to 5.7 by the institution.
