Former Al-Shabaab leader appointed Somalia’s religion minister

Muktar Robow has been under house arrest for four years after falling out with ex-president Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, known as Farmajo. Robow defected from Al-Qaeda-linked militants in August 2017.
