Many leaks and rumours about Apple’s 2022 iPhone lineup for the past few weeks. And now, another another new leak has appeared, this time revealing the whole iPhone 14 series’ design.
According to a MacRumors report, the new leak comes from images of iPhone 14 series molds that showcase the design and the camera bump size of the four models. The report further said that these molds were found on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging website). So, they are likely to be molds used for third party iPhone protective covers rather than the ones used for the actual smartphones’ production.
Looking at these molds, the most noticeable aspect is undoubtedly the lack of an iPhone mini model. Apart from that, we can also observe changes in the iPhones’ sizes in 2022. This year, the Cupertino based giant is apparently getting rid of the 5.4 inch iPhone model, which did not perform too well in the smartphone market. So due to the poor sales, the company is now leaning toward larger iPhone sizes. Thus, the four molds we see include the 6.1 inch iPhone 14, 6.1 inch iPhone 14 Pro, 6.7 inch iPhone 14 Max, and the 6.7 inch iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The camera bump is another notable design change with the iPhones of 2022. According to reports, the entire series’s camera bumps would be taller than the previous generation’s iPhone 13 lineup. The iPhone 14 series will, on the whole, have a similar design, with flat edges and rounded corners. The huge notch on the front, on the other hand, is expected to be replaced by a circular punch hole cutout.
