Innovative Nigerian schoolchildren develop and build a health-assistant robot during COVID to great praise.
When COVID-19 struck, a group of industrious students in Abuja, Nigeria, used their robotics lesson to develop and construct a modest robot to reduce interpersonal contact in hospitals.
They each contributed to the concepts, concept, mechanics, and AI parts of their robot “Mairabot” – which received accolades from health officials and their teachers alike — using only scraps they found around the classroom.
