Production for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 components is now underway, according to insiders speaking to Korean publication The Elec .
Furthermore, Samsung appears to have high expectations for demand for the two foldables.
According to the source, component manufacturing for the new Galaxy Z models has begun, with assembly expected to begin in July, just before the phones’ expected August release.
Samsung is apparently intending to produce around 10 million total units, with 70% of them being Z Flips and 30% being Z Folds.
Samsung foldables had a tremendous year last year, with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 both delivering more sophisticated foldable experiences.
However, Samsung only produced 7 million Galaxy Z devices in total last year, with a 65 percent Galaxy Z Flip 3s and 35 percent Galaxy Z Fold 3s split.
As a result, it appears that Samsung expects demand for these gadgets to expand this year.
However, according to the article, it is keeping its plans flexible in order to respond to shifting market demand.
The profit margin that Samsung makes from its phones, at least according to Mizuho Securities, is another noteworthy fact from this research.
According to reports, Galaxy S phones like the Galaxy S22 have a 19 percent profit, the Galaxy Z family has a 15% margin, and the Galaxy A series has a 5% margin.
