Oppo may soon rival Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

• Oppo is going to go head-to-head with Samsung with foldable phones.
• Oppo could be the next big company in foldable phones.
• The company already has a foldable phone, the Oppo Find N, but it’s only available in China.

Right now, Samsung is the leader in foldable phones. Its brand-new Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 set the standard for other phone makers to follow, and Oppo could be the next company to come out with a foldable phone or two.

Pricebaba says that Oppo will compete with Samsung right down to the names: in the next few months, we’ll get an Oppo Find N Fold that looks like a tablet and an Oppo Find N Flip that looks like a clamshell.

We already have the foldable Oppo Find N, which came out last year and was fun to use, but it’s only available in China.

It looks like the new Fold and Flip models will be sold in more places around the world, giving Samsung a real run for its money.

This latest report doesn’t tell us much besides the fact that these devices exist and what they are called.

One thing we do know is that the phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, which will be the best mobile processor in the second half of 2022. (at least as far as non-iPhones are concerned).

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau recently tweeted about the Oppo Find N’s hinge system. In the OnePlus Community forums, he’s asked for feedback on “the next generation of foldables.”

That means more Oppo foldables are coming, and possibly a OnePlus foldable as well. Such a gadget has been rumoured for months, and OnePlus and Oppo are now basically the same company.
