Apple unveils VisionOS 2.1 beta 6 with enhanced performance
Apple released the developer beta 6 update for visionOS 2.1 on Thursday, just days after beta 5 launched on Monday. This week has been exciting for Vision Pro users, who have received two beta updates quickly.
The public launch of visionOS 2.1 is expected by the end of October, likely coinciding with the release of iOS 18.1 on October 28. This update marks the next step for Vision Pro software, with visionOS 2.1 bringing enhancements and bug fixes.
Though visionOS 2 introduced a range of significant improvements to the Vision Pro experience, the 2.1 variant appears to focus on performance and stability, with no major new features expected. However, the highly anticipated Mac Virtual Display feature is set to receive key upgrades by the end of the year, with the full rollout expected in VisionOS 2.2 this December.
Vision Pro users can look forward to a smoother and more refined experience as these updates continue to roll out.
