The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) Chairman, Sajjad Mustafa Syed, has announced that major IT service providers, startups, and exporters from Pakistan will participate in the GITEX event in Dubai, scheduled for October 14-18.
Syed highlighted the significance of GITEX for Pakistan’s economy and its export potential, noting that the event will feature representation from 180 countries, over 200,000 trade buyers, 65,000 top-tier IT executives, and 7,000 multinational companies in the IT and allied sectors. He expressed optimism about generating leads worth up to $500 million for the country.
He also mentioned that the participation of P@SHA members in the Pakistan Pavilion during previous GITEX editions, with support from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), the Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication (MoITT), Tech Destination Pakistan, and the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), has earned Pakistan the title of Tech Destination of the Year for the 2024 event.
Muhammad Umair Nizam, Senior Vice Chairman of P@SHA, emphasized that innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusion are essential for the rapid growth of the IT and IT-enabled Services (ITeS) industry.
P@SHA Secretary General Nadeem Malik noted that prominent exhibitors and delegates from Pakistan include Quixas Technology Pvt Ltd, Wateen Solutions, AutoSoft Dynamics, KODERLABS, Dynamics 360, Creation Next, and Bits Collision, among others.
