iPhone 17 Pro coming soon, launched with 12 new features

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has confirmed in his latest Power On newsletter that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Pro could arrive in a bold new orange (copper-like) color. Here’s a breakdown of the biggest rumored changes coming to the new Pro lineup:

New Design With Aluminum Frame:

Unlike the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro, which use titanium, the iPhone 17 Pro will reportedly switch to an aluminum frame. The back design may also combine part-aluminum and part-glass, giving it a fresh look.

Bigger Rectangular Camera Bump:

Apple is expected to redesign the camera bump into a larger rectangular shape, setting it apart from previous Pro models.

Anti-Reflective Display Option:

The iPhone 17 Pro may feature an anti-reflective matte display, similar to Apple’s nano-texture glass on the iMac and MacBook Pro. This could reduce glare and make the screen easier to view in bright light.

Better Antenna System:

Rumors suggest a new antenna design wrapping around the rear camera bump. This should enhance the performance of 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

New Colors: Orange and Dark Blue:

Apple is adding fresh options, including a striking orange/copper color and dark blue, giving buyers more choice.

Longer Battery Life:

The iPhone 17 Pro Max may be slightly thicker to fit a larger battery—over 5,000 mAh—promising much better battery life.

Faster A19 Pro Chip:

Powered by Apple’s upcoming A19 Pro chip, built on TSMC’s advanced 3nm process, users can expect faster performance and improved efficiency.

More RAM for Smoother Performance:

The iPhone 17 Pro (and even the rumored iPhone 17 Air) could get 12GB of RAM—a big jump from the 8GB in iPhone 16 models. This will help with Apple Intelligence features and multitasking.

Upgraded 24MP Selfie Camera:

All iPhone 17 models are said to feature a 24-megapixel front camera, double the resolution of the iPhone 16’s 12MP selfie camera.

48MP Telephoto Camera:

Pro models may also get a 48-megapixel Telephoto lens, a big step up from the 12MP telephoto in the iPhone 16 Pro.

Dual Video Recording:

A new feature may let you record with the front and rear cameras at the same time directly in the Camera app.

Better Cooling System:

Apple is rumored to add a vapor chamber cooling system to the Pro models, helping keep performance smooth during heavy use like gaming or video recording.
