Samsung aims to broaden its foldable smartphone range by introducing a midrange model in the coming year, as reported by TrendForce. While previous speculations have hinted at this development, the exact design, whether a book-style or clamshell foldable, remains uncertain.

The midrange foldable from Samsung is expected to follow the clamshell design, possibly being identified as the Galaxy Z Flip6 FE with scaled-down specifications. Additionally, the report suggests that Huawei is also planning to launch a foldable device with a more competitive price point.

Revegnus on Twitter reports that Samsung has established a price target of $400 to $500 for its midrange foldable. Considering VAT, this translates to approximately €650 for European customers. Despite this, it remains a compelling price point, especially when compared to the Galaxy Z Flip5, which starts at just under €800.
