On Friday, March 18, a 17-year-old boy allegedly killed an 85-year-old man after the victim’s dog barked at him in Dwarka, Gujarat, India.

On Friday, police received a call reporting a disturbance in a residential area and responded to the scene. According to the Hindu, the wife of the 85-year-old victim, Ashok, claimed that their 17-year-old neighbour forcibly entered their home and attacked her husband, mercilessly thrashing him with a rod.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the teen’s rage was motivated by the elderly victim’s dog, which had allegedly barked at the boy. The 17-year-old suspect allegedly began beating the dog with a metal rod after becoming enraged by the dog’s barking.

When Ashok confronted the teen and attempted to intervene in the attack, the teen began thrashing the elderly man, leaving him severely injured, according to the Indian Express.

In a similar but unrelated case, a man has been accused of murdering his neighbour in rage after the victim played loud music outside his house and refused to turn it down. The incident occurred on December 8, 2021, in the Malwani neighbourhood of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, according to Latin Times.

Despite Sheikh’s request that Gunnar lower his volume, the suspect allegedly refused. This enraged Sheikh, who thrashed Gunnar and shoved him to the ground in a fit of rage. After the fall, Gunnar began to bleed profusely and became unconscious. Despite the fact that Gunnar was reportedly rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
