Terrifying moment skydiver KNOCKED OUT sending him into death spiral before hero instructor catches him and pulls chute

A TERRIFYING video shows a skydiver being knocked out cold at 10,000 feet when another jumper collides with his head.

Ben Pigeon was sent into a death spin and was only saved when an instructor reached out and pulled his chute.

Ben was one of three jumpers, along with instructor Andy Locke, who were filmed jumping out of a plane.

Andy’s helmet camera captures their hands joining in a head-first dive over the landing zone near Dallas, Texas.

They separated to continue their freefall practise.

Suddenly, one of the group is seen speeding past Andy and slamming into Ben’s head.

On impact, he is knocked unconscious and spins out of control.

Andy, a seasoned instructor, spreads himself flat and directs his attention to the helpless Ben.

At around 5,000 feet, his camera captures him grabbing hold of Ben, stopping his spin, and pulling the cord on his reserve parachute.

Despite landing “like a sack of potatoes,” concussed Ben regained consciousness and was able to execute a “textbook” approach.

Six years later, during the first coronavirus lockdown, Ben posted the dramatic 2014 video on Facebook.

“I’m posting this because I’m bored, but also to promote the six-foot (social distancing) rule,” he explained.

“If we had followed the six-foot rule during this jump, a femur would not have collided with my head at over 200 mph.”

“However, if the six-foot rule had been followed, a fellow jumper would not have been allowed to pull my chute when I was knocked unconscious at 10,000 feet.”

“Side note: Finding the drop zone can be difficult for non-skydivers,” he continued.

“Especially at this drop zone, where everything is farmland and looks the same. You must identify roads in order to determine your location.

“I was so concussed that I couldn’t remember anything for three days.

“I’m not sure how I found the drop zone. I could have collided with power lines or a highway.

“Not only did I find it, but I also flew a perfect student pattern but lacked the strength to flare (meaning the landing hurt also).

“I was completely out of it. When asked if I was all right, I replied, ‘What do you mean I just got out of my tent?’ After that, I pointed to my parachute.

“I’m not saying Jesus stole the toggles, but someone looked for them.

A terrifying video from November showed a plane spiralling out of control and nearly collapsing on a group of nine skydivers in South Africa.
