A teacher who groomed a 15-year-old kid for sex with him twice says she “really regrets” her conduct.
Rebecca Williams, 21, texted the boy flirtatious messages like “fit” and “age is only a number” before picking him up in her car and driving him back to her house in Criccieth, North Wales.

She then had sex with him before arranging for their second meeting and attempted to urge him into a serious relationship with her.

After rumours began to circulate among school employees, the boy allegedly banned her on messaging applications.

Williams guilty to two counts of sexual behaviour with a 15-year-old kid and abuse of a position of trust.

However, after appearing at Mold Crown Court last week, she was spared jail and given a twelve-month suspended sentence, as well as a requirement to do 150 hours of unpaid work.

She was also fined £576, ordered to register as a sex offender for 10 years, and barred from dealing with minors.

Her pals have now informed her that she “regrets” what she did and that she has paid a “heavy price” for her so-called “error.”

“Becky understands what she did was terrible, and she profoundly regrets what occurred today,” said one close friend, who did not want to be recognised.

“She wishes she could go back in time, but she knows she can’t.” She sincerely regrets what she did.

“As a result of losing her job and the court battle, she has suffered greatly from depression.” She has paid dearly for her blunder. She believes she has failed herself and her community.”

Another acquaintance stated that she had accepted a job in construction in order to “keep her head down and get on with life.”

Last week, Jemma Gordon, defending, stated that she was receiving mental health treatment and that “She’s in a new relationship, which has been beneficial to her.”

During her sentencing, however, Judge Nicola Saffman informed her that she had “groomed” her victim, adding: “You were well aware of what you were doing. You were preparing to have a sexual connection with him.”
