Wild events fascinate netizens. This time, a white lion cub following its mother has gone viral. Susanta Nanda of the Indian Forest Service tweeted a video of the cub on Thursday.

The video shows a lioness walking on the rocky forest ground. The white lion cub runs alongside the lioness as agile cubs move through the bushes. While the lioness turns back, the cubs sprint forward. Lion cubs are seen running and cuddling.

Nanda captioned the video, “Here is a white lion cub for you…”

A recessive gene causes white lions, per the Global White Lion Protection Trust. South Africa’s Greater Timbavati and southern Kruger Park have white lions. They’re classified as panthera leo and aren’t legally protected. They were first photographed in the 1970s.

Big cat mutations are popular online. Nanda shared a clip of a black tiger cub and its mother roaming at night in September. Before that, a black tiger marking its territory online went viral.
