Snow leopards, also referred to as the “ghost of the mountains,” are infamously elusive animals that inhabit the Himalayas’ snow-covered peaks. Due to how infrequently they are seen and captured on camera, a sighting of a family of snow leopards in Himachal Pradesh’s Spiti valley has now captivated the internet. Twitter user posted a breathtaking video of a snow leopard and its two cubs on Monday.

Snow leopard cubs are seen running across the mountain and reuniting with their mother after hearing her call. The family can be seen snuggling together later in the video.

Mr. Kaswan provided additional details in another tweet, writing, “It’s a mother with two cubs. Snow leopards are the most tolerant of high and low altitudes. They are well-known for their acrobatics, which include running down steep slopes and performing long jumps. The video was shot last week in Lahaul-Spiti.”

”Snow leopards are the big cats that can’t roar. Their paws are specially designed for the hills and slopes. Powerful, agile, secretive & beautiful,” he added.

It’s a mother with two cubs. Snow leopards are most adaptable to high & cold altitudes. They are known for their acrobatics including running on steep slopes and long jumps.
