Malala Yousafzai, who made her Oscars debut this year, became a social media sensation after responding to a question posed by host Jimmy Kimmel at the 95th Academy Awards in Los Angeles.

A video of this specific moment is making the rounds on the internet, and Malala later retweeted it with the caption: “Treat people with kindness.”

Well, here’s the deal. Jimmy Kimmel questioned Malala about the spitgate scandal involving Chris Pine and Harry Styles at the ceremony she attended with her husband Asser Malik. More on that later.

Hence the question posed to Malala is,  “Your work on human rights and education for women and children is an inspiration. As the youngest Nobel Prize winner in history, I was wondering, do you think Harry Styles spit on Chris Pine?”

Malala, who appeared to find the topic troubling, said without hesitation: “I only talk about peace.”

Nevertheless, Malala received much praise online for taking the topic “gracefully.” Twitter, on the other side, chastised Jimmy Kimmel for his question to Malala.
