A lady in New York City is creating waves by reapplying for her job after learning that her employer posted the identical position at a higher salary. 25-year-old Twitter user, a UX writer at Citigroup claims that she discovered her company had offered a job for the identical role on LinkedIn for better salary. She was able to learn how much more they were paying for a new employee as a result of the recently passed salary transparency law. The company was paying between $32,000 and $90,000 more than what she was making, reported media.

She tweeted,”My company just listed on LinkedIn a job posting for what I’m currently doing (so we’re hiring another UX writer), and now thanks to salary transparency laws, I see that they intend to pay this person $32k-$90k more than they currently pay me, so I applied,” she said.

She went on to say, “They must stop talking about diversity, equity, and inclusion; I won’t take it anymore. I hope our C-suite executives stop recommending books for women’s history month. They had the option of doing concrete acts, but they opted to uphold these beliefs. Sorry, no thanks.”

Twitter user added that she has been disputing about wage disparity and bringing up her underpayment to her bosses.
