The Director-General of Health Sindh has released a report on the current dengue situation of Sindh, highlighting a significant increase in cases. According to the report, 260 new dengue cases were reported in the past 24 hours.
During this period, 43 patients were admitted to government hospitals and 34 to private hospitals, bringing the total number of dengue patients currently receiving treatment in hospitals to 71.
In Karachi, 25 new patients were admitted to government hospitals, while Hyderabad reported 9 new admissions. Meanwhile, 42 patients were discharged from government hospitals and 45 from private hospitals after recovery. Fortunately, no deaths from dengue were reported in the past 24 hours.
According to the report 3,328 dengue tests were conducted in government and private laboratories across the province, with 260 testing positive. Karachi reported 147 positive cases, while Hyderabad recorded 113.
The Director-General of Health Sindh urged citizens to keep their homes and surroundings clean, avoid stagnant water, and strictly follow dengue prevention measures.
